Time flies when your having fun!

It's the end of the september holidays and school will start soon.Doesn't time fly when your having fun? Every year there are interesting and exciting things happenig in school, but my favourite year is this year because this year there are espicially more excursions and activities like the P5 camp and the NE show.But next year there will be a lot of exams such as the PSLE and that means our parents won't want to catch us playing around so I guess we'll have to stop being lazy and start working harder.Time cannot be stopped and it keeps going,and soon it'll be my birthday!

September holidays

During the September holidays, my favourite day was Wednesday because it was the day we get to go out. We went to the Civil Service Club to go swimming. They had a wave pool that made waves and they also had a drift pool and a few more pools.We played in the different pools and we had a great time. After a while we got bored and hungry so our dad drove us to Pizza hut where we had delicious pizzas for dinner.After we had finished our meal and got to the carpark, we found a lot of bird droppings on our car,So we went for a car wash.My mum was a little scared though.Once it was done, we drove home and went to bed.

What I am thankful for

I am thankful for having helpful and kind friends because without them I would be lonely and sad.My friends are the ones that help me in times of need.
I am also thankful for having such loving and caring parents that spend time and money looking after me.They gave me a home to stay in and they will always be by my side.
Another thing that I should be thankful for is the knowledge that the teachers have given me, they teach things out of the text book and keep encouraging us to study harder to have a bright future and to never give up.
I should also be thankful towards Mother Nature as she gave us all the greenary and oceans that gave us life.

What I think

To me, I think it means that if you have the best education but you lack manners, no one would be willing to help you in times of need.But if you have manners and lack education, others would still be willing to help you in times of need even though you do not have the best education, this is because manners is more important than having the best education.

H1N1 flu virus

The H1N1 flu virus is spreading rapidly, and millions and millions of people in the world have caught it.Even in Singapore,I heard that a total of five people have died because they caught it.Im a little sad and a little glad. Im glad because I have not got it yet, and Im sad because the schoolmay have to close down and I may not get to see my friends for some time. Then there is another possibility that someone or mabye even me that can catch the H1N1 virus and spread it to someone else.My family and I don't dare to travel to other countries in case we catch it, but even if there wasn't such a virus, we still would not want to travel to other countries because me and my brother hate to go to other countries.Well, at least this H1N1 virus is not worse as the sars virus.

favourite foods

My favourite foods are chicken, egg, potatoes, hash browns,apples and much more. I do not like to eat vegetables but I have to, and I eat vegetables daily. My father encourages me to stop eating fried things and to eat more different kinds of food such as Fries and chicken. My father likes to eat at food courts because he likes eating healthy food and he likes to exercise. Me and my brother eats the same things as I eat but I eat more different kinds of fruit than he does. My mother is kind of like the opposite of my father because she is like me, we love to eat fried food. Even though I like to eat I still do not want to become fat.

favourite animal

My favourite animals are cats mice because I find them very cute and harmless. I do not keep pets but I have kept pet fish before, and then they all died. I wanted to have a cat as a pet but I thought about it and I know it is too troublesome to feed them, take them to the veterinarian when they are sick, clean up after them and buy toys for them. My friend has two adult hamsters and a few baby hamsters my friend told them that the female hamster cannot go with the male hamster because they will fight. I like animals very much because they are all very interesting, for example the platypus is a mammal but it lays eggs, and a whale is a mammal but it likes in the ocean. Even though those animals are special, I still like cats and mice the best!

my best friend

My best friend is one class lower than me but that does not mean we still cannot be best friends. She is better in Chinese than in English and I am better in English than in Chinese.We always try to meet each other during recess and when we stay back .We also stay back on same days, Monday, Tuesday ,Thursday and Friday. On Monday we stay back for Chinese supplementary, on Tuesday we stay back for our different CCA's which are gym and science club, on Thursday we stay back for our Math supplementary which we have together and on Friday we have our science supplementary.We have been best friends since primary three until now. I can't wait to see her again when school reopens!

Discovery Science Camp

I have been to a few discovery science camps and I met a friend from my school in the second discovery science camp. I think I enjoyed the second one better because my friend was there with me.We did a lot of science experiments and group challenges.One of the group challenges was to build a tower which was made of newspaper and we have to try to make the tallest tower, the strongest tower or the most beautiful tower, and my group won the prize for the strongest tower. There was an individual challenge where we were supposed to make our own balloon car and see who had the most beautiful car, the car that could go the fastest or the car that could travel the furthest. I almost won the prize for the car that could travel the furthest but someone else won it and our cars were like one or two centimeters apart.There were trips to Newater and Snow City. I liked the Snow City trip better because we could slide down a hill on tires and it was so fun, especially with the teachers as they drag us down the hill very fast.Even though Snow City was freezing cold and I fell down a few times, I still liked the trip a lot. I wish I could come back some other day!

Sentosa

At Sentosa, it was very exiting. In Sentosa we did various activities such as riding on the Luge and Skyride, going on a trapeze,going on a pedle boat, swimming, playing a game called Desperados and many more activities.The Luge is basically a ride where you sit on something like a car and ride it all thee way down to the end of a obstacle course and then you take the Skyride which is a bench hooked on to a wire to the beginning of the obstacle course. The trapeze is where you climb up a long ladder with a rope attached to you to the top and then you hold onto a rod with strings and then you jump of a platform and swing forwards and backwards and try to hang on the rod upside down, and finally,you drop onto a net and slide down a pole.When we rented a paddle boat, I sat in the front with my father and my mother and brother sat behind. Me and my father had to pedle while my brother and mother had to steer.We saw many things in the sea, we saw empty bottles, a sponge , twigs, leaves, and we also picked up two balls and threw them away.We were very tired after pedling for so long.The game Desperados is a game where you are supposed to sit on pretend horses and shoot targets shown on a big screen, there were many other people playing too, and if you get the highest,second highest or third highest score in the crowd, your picture will be shown on the screen, there are total two practices and two chalendges and I got first for the second practice while my brother got third for the second challenge. We also went to our favourite restaurant that sold buffet ost of our meals, and the food always taste great! It was so much fun in Sentosa that I want to come back during the December holidays!

looking forward to holiday

I am going to stay in Sentosa for two nights and three days on the fifteenth of June, and I am so exited. My mother says we are going on the Luge, to watch a four dimensional movie, go cycling and swimming.The previous holiday I had was when I went on a cruise with my whole family to Thailand and Malaysia. In Thailand, we went on an elephant ride. the ride was short but fun, the ride was a bit shaky and I was scared I would fall off.Then we went on to see an elephant show and a monkey show and visited some more things before going back to the ship. In Malaysia, we went on a trishaw ride and visited a batik shop. In the batik shop they sold things made from batik as well as batik cloth, and I bought a batik cloth for myself to.We also did a few more things before returning to the ship. The holiday I liked the best was the one to Hong Kong Disneyland as there was a lot of rides to go on.I am looking forward to my trip to sentosa!

favourite place

My favourite place is school because the teachers are friendly and I get to see all my friends. I also like to learn there and the lessons are interesting.I like my CCA which is gym because it is good exercise and I get to meet my last year friends. My best friend is in a different class this year but I still get to see her during recess or when we stay back. I met her in my primary three class, I sat in front of her and when our teacher asked us to turn around to make new friends she became my best friend since then. I hope she can be in the same class as me next year. I think HPPS is the best school I have ever been to yet!

Unfortunate

After watching a video about how other unfortunate children have to get food from trash cans, I Felt guilty about how I waste food almost everyday and I am willing to change my habits.I think everyone has wasted food before and we should get rid of these bad habits as we are wasting food which is also wasting the money. The money can be used to help the poor instead of being wasted.I think we should not waste any more food as we would be wasting money and I do not feel good when I leave leftovers on my plate.

Courtesy

To me, courtesy means to be polite to others, such as greeting them and saying please and thank you. Nobody has ever treated me badly before, and I would not want anybody to. I am sad to hear that our country has very few people that are kind but I am also glad to hear that the organisers are trying to get people to be kind. Actually I did not know that Singapore had people that are unkind, I thought that most Singaporeans were kind. I think that we should all be kind to each other so Singapore can be the country with the most kind people in the world and not the opposite.

Creativity

I think creativity is something that cannot be taught because for my brother, he never liked to be creative and he never tries to unless he has to, like during art lessons, and no matter how hard he tries, he cannot produce something as nice as me. But for me, my mother and my father, we all can draw very well especially my mother. She draw things very realisticly. Me and my mother have been to art classes but we already knew how to be creative even before we attended the art classes. But my father has never been to any art class before and he can be creative at some times. So that is why I think that creativity can never be taught.

holidays

I usually like to stay at home, and that is what I did. Actually, I found it a little boring and I started to miss school. Although I did not go anywhere during the holidays, I still had some fun. On Friday it was my baby cousin's birthday, and now she is two years old. Everything was fine except that my brother and my other cousin who is a boy kept arguing. But it was my brother who started it all. I was getting tired of them arguing every time they met each other. During the holidays I was also worried about the injection, I heard that most of the primary fives cried, I am so scared.

Precious

I think my family is the most precious thing in my life, and I would not like to loose any of them, including my brother, even though I hate him. Sometimes I dream of them going to die and the next morning I felt as though I cried. If something happened to one of my family members, I would immediately ask what happen and see what I could do. As for objects, they are not as important as our family members because we can easily buy a new one. But for humans, we only have one life, if we die in a car accident there is no way we could come back again. If someone asks me to either give up my precious necklace or get my mother killed, I would definitely choose to give up my necklace.

Pet Problems

I have been dreaming of having fish as a pet but I know my parents would not allow me. I know it is difficult to take care of pets but even though I think cats are cute, cuddly and adorable and I would like to have one, I think fish are the easiest to take care of. You just have to feed them clean the tanks and spend time appreciating them. But I also have another dream, I want to become a famous author, I want to write and illustrate a book about stories that I will make myself that people would know very well and people would straight away know that this was my book. (I love to read.)

Camping

At the camp, it was exciting and fun! I was in group three and our trainer's name was Kristen. I did rockclimbing, abseil,outdoor cooking and many others, but too bad we did not get to do the flying fox. The part which I liked the most was the camp fire as it was very fun to watch the other groups perform their cheers. I like group six's performance because their performance was very creative. At the girl's toilet when it was time to take a bath, it would usually be very crowded and noisy. When it was my turn to take a bath, the people waiting banged on the doors shouting for us to hurry up. On the last day of the camp, I was quite sad as the camp was not as bad as I thought it would be but our group was the one that had to clean the toilet and the trainer even said that it was the easiest place to clean. After the camp, when I went home I felt good to be home but I also felt like I wanted to go back to the camp.

Hobbies

My hobby is reading, swimming and drawing. I love to read fiction books, especially Harry Potter books. I like swimming because it is fun and it is good excercise. Every Saturday my brother and I go for swimming lessons at NUS. Although it is good excercise, it is still very tiring. I love to draw because I find it fun and interesting. My most favourite hobby is drawing. I used to have art classes but I had to quit because my father wanted me to have swimming classes. I think that your hobby is much more interesting than mine Mrs Tay.

Stess and more stress

Yes. I agree with you . I feel a little stress because I have too much homework to do. I have to stay back on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and on Fridays for supplymentary lessons, and that gives me very little time to do my tution, music and school homework, and I still have music, tution and swimming lessons. Now that you realise that I have so much things to do, I hope you would be kind enough to give us less homework.
